Making connections and combatting loneliness – special event
One of the key benefits of attending NSW Seniors Festival events is the sense of community you can feel with other older people. COTA NSW reports that over half of adults aged 50 and over report feeling lonely and undervalued by society, and this increases as we age. Loneliness and social isolation can impact our mental and physical health – but there are things we can do to make connections and enhance our wellbeing. That’s why at Carers’ Circle, we’re proud to present in conjunction with Kylea Tink MP, COTA NSW and Willoughby Council, an event focused on making connections and combatting loneliness in the local area.
